A drunken half wit runs from the jungle at Celtic Park to clout Gordon Strachan in 1981 and is immediately flagged offside by the linesman.

Good bit of Fife Beer Festival action there. Obviously sampled The Prince of Darkness shortly before the photo was taken.

Kilbowie Park in 1989 by all accounts - shamelessly pinched from today's Guardian; start naming names, then.....

That photo is from this season, is it not? Appeared in the album Collettivo West Kaiserslautern put up on Facebook when Tommy Adams finished his trek at the Fritz-Walter-Stadion in November.  Great picture all the same.

The clothes aren't baggy enough for that picture to be from 1999.

Another giveaway is the lassie to the right of the flag wearing a QTS-sponsored Killie shirt.

The tie ancientnoise is referring to was the beginning of the Killie-Kaiserslautern friendship and the cracking flags that have resulted. Really fancy getting over there sometime, though it's looking likely it'll be to watch the 3. Liga as Kaiserslautern are having a shocking season.

The Shankly bothers did battle on this day, well it was night, in 1960 when Dundee beat Liverpool 1-0 in the first floodlit game at Dens Park. I was taken to my first game at Dens just over 2 weeks later, a 2-0 win over Celtic. IMG_0461.jpg IMG_0462.jpg

Two of the finest beards in Scottish football, Danny McGrain and Ian Scanlon in action at Love Street in the early 80's.

That picture was from a couple of years back, certainly not 1999!

Edit to say, it was the season before (at least) before Tommy did his trek but they might have shared the same image at the time.

Few "weel kent" killie faces in that pic.

They'll be lucky to have a licence to play at all next season by all accounts.
