Bully Wee Villa
I believe part-time Clyde were the only team to take Celtic to a replay that season.Clyde > Internazionale.
jamtart1972
121 Years ago to the date of the 20th February 1897, Heart of Midlothian FC clinched their 2nd Scottish League Title with a 5-0 thrashing of Clyde at Tynecastle Park. Hibs led the race for the title for most of the season and on the 5th Dec 1896, Hibs could have secured the title with a win at Tynecastle, but a Tom Robertson goal defeated the greens and more or less ended their title dream. Hearts completed their fixtures and secured the Championship.

jamtart1972
Your team is getting battered 1-5 from your geographical and most hated rivals in the Scottish Cup Final, would you still be sitting there hoping for a last 15 minute rush of goals for an equaliser or would you be homeward bound ? Its unlikely but there are some people like that out there.

JCR
Heart of Midlothian v Rangers 14th October 1978, segragation newly installed for the first time. Jeez that looks horrendous, makes me glad for my nice padded seat in section C.
Flybhoy
Celtic v Aberdeen at a fog bound Celtic Park in 1994, abandoned at half time goalless. Played out a 2-2 draw when rearranged a few days later. Such was our shambolic state of peril at the time, the rumours, probably true are that the Celtic board at the time of the Kelly's and White's asked the referee to play the full 45 minutes since, Scottish league rules at the time stipulated a refund had to be given should a match be abandoned before half time, yes, we were that fucking skint. Celtic, very generously took a whopping £2 off admissions at the turnstiles a few nights later (£10 circa was the cash gate then I vaguely recall)
Eednud
Scottish League Cup Final 15 December 1973. Only 27,974 there as weather was extremely bad and think a lot of buses had to turn back. It was also an early (1.30pm) kick-off due to national energy crisis during miner’s strike, Game probably would have been abandoned or more likely postponed nowadays. Dundee beat Celtic 1-0 through a Gordon Wallace goal 14 minutes from time.

Arch Stanton
Dens Park and Tannadice Park c. 1966/67 and closer to nowadays. No way is the first one from 66/67, the terracing at Tannadice is covered and benches have been installed at Dens.

Flybhoy
Alex McLeish jumps for a header with England's Luther Blisset in a 1-1 draw from 1984. Jim Bett looks on, couldnt find no team line ups but based on the mullett I suspect the number four for Scotland is Arthur Albiston, then of Man Utd. Check out the size of the Hampden crowd !
