John Freebairn keeps goal for Partick Thistle circa 1960.

Sorry to hear of his death last week at the age of 82.  My dad knew him when they were both engineering students. An all round athlete John went on to compete in highland games for many years.

Well I did have a mate at school who was a Saintee and I did see them win the Scottish Cup. On the other hand I've not seen Saints at McDiarmid since Meadowbank were around
