Don't remember any social club. Boghead was interesting in that it had a number of covered areas in it. Old stand, new stand, behind both goals. Was there another cover next to the new stand? Cover behind both goals, one pinched from Turnberry railway station. And there was cover to the right of that stand (as you look at the picture)

tamthebam
Meadowbank v East Stirlingshire, 1987. In glorious technicolour. The legendary Victor Kasule is no 10 and I think the other player looks like Ralph Callachan. George Stewart was a printers, the building was demolished a couple of years ago and is now yuppy flats. Meadowbank Stadium is about to become yuppy and student w****r flats, Meadowbank got franchised 15 miles west and Shire are in the Lowland League. There's nothing like progress.. As for Vic.. met him a couple of years ago at a BSC v Edinburgh City game, he was a BSC coach. Good guy.

Mark Connolly
These guys are demolishing the collapsed wall after the Shawfield disaster in December 1957. Some boys had jumped the wall to escape the crush, and were sitting in front of the wall on the track. When Celtic scored, the crowd surged forward. The wall collapsed, and 1 boy was killed with several others taken to hospital, and numerous more treated on site by first aiders. My uncle was one of the luckier ones, escaping with only some cuts and bruises.
jagfox
On a lighter note here's Ronnie Glavin tipping a penny tower over at the Andros Bar (now Wintergills). Round around 1974. This raised over £300 for the Taxi drivers kids day out.
