Like all greyhound tracks it was one chunt of a place to watch football. Last time i saw a game at Shawfield, Hearts won 7-0 in a league match. As for East Kilbride, there was claims at the time of NIMBYism by the local authority, some rumours about not wanting a Senior football in the town and who they might bring in ie the Glasgow Two.
