HJ is being a bit naughty. It's not the construction of (New) Shielfield in the 1940s (the stand came from Valley Parade, Bradford) but rather the time the roof was removed for safety reasons c1990

Berwick played "home" games at Meadowbank and Tynecastle while the ground was shut

Berwick played their home game against Dumbarton at Coatbridge during that period. I guess they couldn’t find anywhere closer

Great quiz.

Here goes:

1- Hampden, 2- Firhill, 3- Shielfield,

4- Easter Road, 5- Tynecastle? (guess),

6- East End, 7- Tannadice, 8- Love Street? (guess),

9- Celtic Park, 10- Fir Park, 11- Pittodrie, 12- Ibrox.

I think 5 is Dens

Without looking at anyone else’s attempts.

1 Hampden

2 St Mirren

3. Motherwell

4 Hibs

5 Hearts

6 Dunfermline

7 Dundee United

8 Dundee (no idea)

9 Celtic

10 Motherwell (again, oops)

11 Pittodrie

12 Ibrox

For someone that has been to the vast majority of Scottish league grounds that was really difficult. When do we get the answers? (Unless you’ve already put them up @HibeeJibee)

Slightly later era, but another two players called Arthur come to mind - Grant and Graham.

Don’t know Arthur Thompson’s position but all the other four (Duncan, Hamill, Grant and Graham) were left wingers.

I've worked with Arthur Grant - good guy, plenty of good stories about his playing days too.

The Celebrity fan. Any you recall for your club or in Scottish football in general?

Gives @Dundee Hiberniana chance to check his Lorraine Kelly folder at least? 🤔😂

Rick Wakeman and John Peel went to Meadowbank Thistle games

Dougie Donnelly was a Clyde fan and Arthur Montford followed Morton - I saw Arthur in the stand at Cappielow once.

Zippy from Rainbow is surely United's most famous fan. He won a BBC poll around 15 years ago by a huge margin to be selected Britain's top celebrity sports fan. Presenter and writer of Rainbow Geoffrey Hayes was a United fan, having been resident of Dundee for a number of years in the 'sixties.

Producers originally had Zippy as blue, but Geoffrey insisted of a change of colour to honour his team.

My new favourite fact ever.

I thought 8 might have been Muirton Park but I could be wrong

I'm not sure if that's a sensible choice.

He really is a weirdo. Thankfully not my team.

Proof that they are two cheeks of the same arse.
