Old style Nottingham Forest badge.

I had a look for Nottingham Forest badges and couldn't find one that matched that - assumed it was Forest, as it definitely wasn't Arsenal.

Same badge in this pic of Lochgelly born Bob McKinlay who played 614 league games for Forest from 1951-1969 and he was a youth player there from 1949-1951. Won the FA Cup in 1959. Centre half and Forest’s record appearance holder. Only senior club he played for.

Must be 2 or 3 years later as Joe Baker was at Arsenal until 1966.

Aye, that doesn't look like an Arsenal badge.

It is Forest, and has to be the late 60s at least, as I think the number 11 is Welshman Ronnie Rees, who was a great winger.

Hamish showing Harry Kane how it's done

End of the season match, but one United had to win to have a chance of staying up (75-75). Finished 2-0, other goal from Henry Hall. He started his senior career at Stirling Albion, but had a fantastic scoring record at Muirton. The Hamish penalty was his first senior goal, and he took another a week later in a crucial match at Ibrox, that in itself unusual in that an away team was awarded a penalty there. He missed, but United stayed up on goal difference above relegated Dundee.

Henry Hall had signed for United in 1975, to give hairstyling tips to manager Jim Mclean.

Dundee United beat Hibs to stay up, then the Dons beat Hibs in the last match of the season to stay up. (1975/76)

Henry Hall was a bloody nuisance.

The end of that season was a nightmare. That Hibs win was our first since February, if we hadn’t won we’d have been relegated, and we had the re-signed King Joey sitting in the stand unable to play.

United needed a point in their next game at Ibrox to stay up. In spite of Hamish's penalty miss close to the 90 minute mark, they got it in a 0-0 draw.

Aberdeen played Hibs the Saturday before United faced them.

The end of the season was a highlight for United. At one stage they went 13 league games without a win, but gained a win and then a draw to stay up in the last two games against Hibs and Rangers. Aberdeen were dreadful in the last period of that season until they beat Hibs, who by the last few matches had secured third place, by virtue of a good run prior to their last two fixtures against United and the Dons.

The link between Henry Hall and former Tory PM Edward Heath always intrigued me.
