I thought that was Morcambe and Wise?

Story I heard was Bernie dying on his arse at the Glasgow Empire and Mike stuck his head through the curtain to give his brother support and from the audience came that cry.

Harry Secombe once appeared at the Empire and he sent a telegram to Spike Milligan "Crowd with me all the way...to the station"

Read an old joke a while ago:

an English comic had played a gig in a Scottish music hall and it had gone as badly as you'd imagine.

The next day he was really fed up and wandering morosely round the shops when he overheard two old women talking.

"Did you see that comedian last night?" Said one. "Aye", said the other. "He was hilarious. It was all I could do not to laugh ".

Three Inverness grounds now, courtesy of Groundtastic. Firstly Grant Street Park of Clachnacuddin, then Inverness Thistle's Kingsmills Park and Caledonians's Telford Street Park:

Jim Kidd, now there's a Scottish football legend!

From Accies Twitter. Unusual Aberdeen strip. Any idea what the colours are?

Edit: Accies defence noticeable by their absence here.

Thie following is from an article on the Aberdeen website titled, the history of the blue kit. Goes on to say it possibly could be links with Chelsea in the 50's.

By the mid 60’s it had been altered to be a blue shirt with white and red stripes.

This Dons strip was nicknamed “candy stripes” at that time.

Aberdeen have often had variations of blue as their change outfit.

Here's the striped jersey, v Third Lanark in 1963.

I loved that strip at the time, and it’s a fabulous photo of Jim Forrest.
