Add in sjc and we have a trio of glory hunters who absolutely love the Saints.

Nah, I just had the misfortune of being born in that one horse town called Perth.

John Freebairn keeps goal for Partick Thistle circa 1960.

Sorry to hear of his death last week at the age of 82.  My dad knew him when they were both engineering students. An all round athlete John went on to compete in highland games for many years.

Well I did have a mate at school who was a Saintee and I did see them win the Scottish Cup. On the other hand I've not seen Saints at McDiarmid since Meadowbank were around

Clyde players and directors before flying to London in 1955 to beat Arsenal in a friendly at Highbury.

Is that Mattha Gemmell with the hat and glasses in the middle?

It's Paddy Travers. Gemmell had retired by this point.

Aye, I googled him. Thought he might have been invited as a thank you for his service, or just tagged along as he was a great Clyde man, but I suppose flights weren't cheap back then.

Wilson who worked in Valentinos is writing a book seemingly.

More of a short story I'd imagine

Valentinos! There's a blast from the past! Up there with Biancos or café noir!
