That picture was from a couple of years back, certainly not 1999!

Edit to say, it was the season before (at least) before Tommy did his trek but they might have shared the same image at the time.

Few "weel kent" killie faces in that pic.

Another giveaway is the lassie to the right of the flag wearing a QTS-sponsored Killie shirt.

The tie ancientnoise is referring to was the beginning of the Killie-Kaiserslautern friendship and the cracking flags that have resulted. Really fancy getting over there sometime, though it's looking likely it'll be to watch the 3. Liga as Kaiserslautern are having a shocking season.

They'll be lucky to have a licence to play at all next season by all accounts.

The Shankly bothers did battle on this day, well it was night, in 1960 when Dundee beat Liverpool 1-0 in the first floodlit game at Dens Park. I was taken to my first game at Dens just over 2 weeks later, a 2-0 win over Celtic. IMG_0461.jpg

Two of the finest beards in Scottish football, Danny McGrain and Ian Scanlon in action at Love Street in the early 80's.

Celtic in green socks - you don't see that very often!

Fergus McCann's letter to the Bank of Scotland a week before they were ready to pull the plug on Celtic and the old board, and as history tells us the wee man with the bunnet stepped in and saved the day.

St. Mirren Park in 1958.
Note the North Bank is mid-construction and look at the top of the picture...no motorway or airport!!!

Would the airport even be in that picture if it was taken today?  That looks like it's a picture facing west so the airport would be off to the right of the photo
