Kilmarnock keeper Bobby Ferguson makes a great save to keep the score Hearts 0-2 Kilmarnock at Tynecastle on the final day of the 1964/65 season.

Killie beat Hearts to the title by 0.042 of a goal, our only Scottish league title.

Bobby Murdoch and Alex Rae lead out their teams for the League Cup Final on 23rd October 1971. Despite being written off by just about everybody outside of Firhill, Thistle would go on to create the biggest ever upset in Scottish Football history. Certainly for a cup final by winning 4-1. (4-0 ht ).

Programme covers from Glasgow v Sheffield - last surviving and most famous of the inter-city series. Commenced in 1874, the last meeting was in 1960.

Glasgow played their last-ever game in 1977 against the Football League:

One of the first known pictures of any Kilmarnock team taken in 1879, ten years after their formation. At this point in time Rangers and Dumbarton are only 7 years old, Hearts are 5, Hibs are 4 and we're 9 years away from the creation of Celtic. At the time the team played in Oxford (dark) blue with white shorts - the blue and white vertical stripes first appeared in 1896 but in the early 20th century up until 1960 or so the team wore hoops.

I love how the pic is centred around the guy's spare tyre.

I love these strips.

Should go for these for the 150 centenary.   Blue with a white hand for home and white with a red hand for the away strip.

ETA - I like the fact Rangers were only 7 years old when the picture was taken and the new version are 6 years old (almost) when the thread is happening.
