Good to see Stevie Bell joining the ranks of the Pars seaside retirment home. He was such a talent before getting crocked. Big dirty swine these days so will hopefully put a few Rovers up in the air (pretty sure he got a straight red playing for us against Raith in an evening match once).

Big dirty shitehawk back then too. That's right - I was in hospitality at EEP that night; right in front of us in the second half Tade got taken out at knee height by the lovely Mr Bell. How he didn't break at least one of his legs I'll never know as it was a proper old-fashioned, straight leg challenge at 100mph.

Hope you stay in the cup as long as possible. Cup run would be a nice distraction.

Arbroath will win 2-1 at Somerset for the third time this season.

Do seem a bit of a bogey team for you guys this season, mind you we were fairly lucky to leave theirs with 3 points as they battered us 2nd half.
We can only play well for small patches of games and our defending as a team is poor so if you can ride through that 20 minutes its easy days.

Well with Dario away unexpectedly that puts a big spanner in our preparation and leaves us without a winger. Will likely mean having to rejigg the midfield losing Vaughan from the middle and actually losing Dario himself who has been excellent recently. I feel our recent success has been based on finding a shape/personnel that has managed to get better out than the sum of its parts. This is a huge blow. Big boost for you fine c***s. Irate

People are automatically presuming we will lose Vaughan from the middle of the park and replace him with Herron all because we've lost Zanatta from the wing.

This might be the case but I can also see Spence getting shifted to out wide and Court coming in up front now. Would probably be the best option or we could go 4-3-3 by still bringing in Court alongside Spence and Buchanan up top?

Move to 4-3-3 and bring Court in for Zanatta..?

Potentially - but this is why the Zanatta thing is such a massive c**t. The 442 was working really well and had such a nice balance. Spence and Buchanan were working really well up top in front tof Vaughan and Robbo. And then Mathews tucking in provided protection and allowed Thomson to provide width on one side. And then Dario could go forward all he liked to provide width on the other side becuase Murray just stays and defends. It was the most balanced, potent and solid our side has been all year. Whatever happens on Saturday the priority has to be to get another winger in as soon as possible and get back to this system.
