Really enjoying it, my Mrs is from Belfast and is loving hearing turns of phrase that she doesn't normally unless she's back home.

Bit like an Irish Inbewteeners for me.

Yep agreed leans very much towards the inbetweeners ,swap the nun for Mr Gilbert and so on...not a bad thing though.

I'm a bit surprised that some of the humour has made it across the water in all honesty, most of it is very local based ,a few of the characters have lots of potential, the grandad, the phsyco shopkeeper etc...

Just catching up with last night's episode and there was a Durex advert in the middle! Somebody's having a laugh...

This just gets better.

(Looking at the IRA mural someone has painted on their gable end)
"What are they, stilts?"
"Golf clubs."
"I thought spatulas."
"They're RIFLES!"
"Really? Are you sure?"
"Fairly sure!"

*

"You do not want to attract predatory animals into your sleeping area. Bears are particularly vicious."
"I'm not sure how many bears there are in Portloo, though, Jim."
"But there was a cheetah on the beach one time."
"That was a greyhound, Orla."

And the whole thing with the Orange Walk. Of course this is set in the 1990s and that sort of thing doesn't happen any more... er...

"They've been playing the same three songs since 1795. What do they need to rehearse for?"

Also the arguing over packing the clock.

I think next week's is the last. I hope they do a second series.

Shortly after the first episode aired they confirmed they are doing a second series.

Very funny show.

Although it has only reinforced my opinion that the female Ulster accent is absolutely terrifying.
