Also the arguing over packing the clock. That bit about the songs had me buckled, then the whole scene of them stuck in the 2 cars in the middle of the walk, the marchers giving them abuse while the grandad shouting about orange b*****ds and protestants Interesting that they actually used real music for the walk instead if muffling it etc, could clearly hear the sash and derrys walls lol, glad they did that as it made the scene more funny as you could actually imagine shit like that happening
invergowrie arab
The missus watched this. Enjoyed first episode but each episode is weaker than last The funniest characters are the adults, the lassies themselves are a fucking pain.
Flybhoy
The evil nun has so much potential and is criminally underused.
peasy23
Not quite on the same scale as Blackadder Goes Forth, but I thought that was quite an emotional ending.Loving Ian McElhinney's turn as Granda Joe and the utter disdain he has for his son in law.
Flybhoy
That ending was actually very poignant and beautifully done, as well as totally unexpected. The juxtaposition of the 'troubles' and innocent young friends with, ironically the recently departed Dolores O'Riordan singing in the background. Looking forward to series two, not quite at the bellylaugh standard of The Inbetweeners but has potential and had a few genuinely brilliant moments, room for more though.
Swordfishtrombone
This had good enough writing and performances to generate goodwill. There were times the jokes were obvious and not so funny but the show had a warmth about it that made it hard to dislike.
Flybhoy
The bit where the nun said the sick girl wont be back for a while... "Shall we pray for her sister?" "Hell no, sure what good would that do?" Very subtle and very dark but very funny.

I have a feeling a major character might be killed off in the bombing we seen on the news, just the way the ending went, Was a good episode overall, in the photoshack the first time was hilarious,

Swordfishtrombone
I tried watching the writer's previous sitcom 'London Irish' on the strength of this. I couldn't get into it, the characters were really unlikeable but the show wasn't funny enough to carry it off in the way 'It's Always Sunny In Philadelphia' does.

peasy23
The nun's line at the talent show about realising how good the original artists are was brilliant. As mentioned before, her character has massive comic potential, hopefully plays a bigger part in series 2.
19QOS19
The lassie playing Michelle is my favourite. Both her character and the fact she's a complete wid.
