The lads who had the Istanbul on Nethergate moved to Union Street to open the Istanbulie.
The Dundee kebab scene is a complicated picture.

Sounds like drunkenly going in to the wrong one could get you lynched.

Having a take away from the new place called Braw that has just opened on Broughton road later on. It looks shit and does hot dogs and burgers which isn’t what I’m in the mood for.

At the risk of asking the bleeding obvious:

Why not go somewhere else then?

Fatty was doing her final exam today and has been insisting we try the place out for a few weeks now. I’m sure there will be something I like on the menu.

If you've suggested it then I really don't know why you can't just choose somewhere else?

I haven’t suggested it, we walked by it a week ago and she said we should try it out. I’ll look at the menu and hopefully there will be something I like it just appeared to specialise in burgers. I always prefer a Chinese over any take away.

The lamb & chicken kebabs from Topkapi on Fountainbridge are good. Am sure Bobby Skidmarks will agree.
Topkapi used to be tremendous after a night out in the Subway. The chippy up in Granton was also v good. The Gold Sea on Ferry Rd however was horrendous.

There was an Indian at the bottom of Ferry Rd, which I think is long gone (Ferry's/Terry's/Rod Jane and Freddy's?) Curry Connection which was immense.

Say you fancy something else then FFS you big sap.

You better toughen up now or it's a life of being milked for baby making mix and getting ordered to go to shite takeaways and have equally wet men round for tea.

The rest of us don't have it any better but at least attend and speak about football to take our minds off it.

It’s not all about what I want though, relationships are about compromise.

Dil Se is fairly pricey for an Indian but doesn't leave you ill so best of a bad bunch. Jahangir has a good rep but is loving off a reputation of a time when folk couldn't get good Indian food.

Only one I've known in Dundee to make a person ill.

Still on the lookout for a decent Chinese takeaway in the south side of Glasgow. Actually, pretty much a decent takeaway at all. The Chicken Place are a good bunch of lads, mind.

Correct, although I haven't had one in years. Also the best Fried Chicken takeaway/delivery in Edinburgh is Mania and Redbox do an excellent Noodle box.
