Gerrard's "We're a class above Aberdeen" remark at the start of the season, followed by three defeats in Glasgow to them, including being fucked out of both cups. Absolute peak banter years stuff there

Yes, fair play to the guy.

He was just in the door, but was able to set up such a fine, long running gag.

Is there some reason Sevco can't just try playing better football than other teams? Do they have to constantly reinforce their deluded sense of superiority in the face of all the evidence to the contrary?

Recent *** managers have been sacked for less. What happens when they don't get second again?

I don't buy into this "banter years" shit to be honest.

The real joke is the "Club" itself.......

Right now the entirety of the clubs existence has been the Banter Years so it's basically the exact same thing

True. It's a bit like when Jack Nicholson went into the asylum in One flew over the cukoos nest, and patients there found their lives were enlightening by the entertainment he brought but deep down they all knew that the institution was be better off without him.

If 2012 was the lobotomy, we just need some Big Chief to forcibly hold the pillow over their head......

It was EST rather than a lobotomy in the film.

I rather have a more rediculous metaphor to compare the two

The Pirate Cats being Rangers financial state, tax owed, debt etc.

Stan being Charles Green brought the club back from the dead and send them on the journey to the glorious entity we see today now challenging Celtic for the title.

Now can you understand why beating St. Mirren or Partick Thistle should be celebrated by the players and fans as if the league title had been won??

You can say that again.

Sevco can't 'die again' as they haven't died before. It was the different club, Rangers, who died. Sevco are their successor.

Of course it would be glorious if Sevco died.

McMurphy received EST but also a lobotomy at the end of the movie.

This led to Big Chief Bromden putting him out of his misery, thus letting him die with dignity rather than live on as a lumbering, slabbering shadow of his former self.

Perhaps they should have let the Chief draw up the Five Way Agreement.

With this metaphor in mind who is the cold, vindictive tyrant that is Nurse Ratched ?
