The Chronicles of the Banter Years (2012 - ∞)

Recommended Posts

I hope the entire squad turns up and gets absolutely leathered on free drinks every single day, running that place out of business and rendering themselves completely incapable of running in a straight line on a Saturday afternoon.

What is that? Maybe I need some sleep but it looks a ghost of wee Jimmy Krankie.

I know what will haunt my dreams tonight.

From what I hear, dreaming about Wee Jimmy Krankie is hardly a novelty for you...

Season hasn't even started but we have the first, whining, greeting faced, no one likes us we really really care club statement from ibrox

You'd think a club run but totally not  owned by a man who had to settle multiple tax avoidance cases, that constantly panders to bigots and people who love a song about the UVF and knees covered in blood, would stop banging on about other organisations being fit and proper, or otherwise.

But then again, it's a perceived siege mentality not seen since the walls of Derry, so they keep on trucking and let the owners keep distracting them with bullshit whilst the board keep fleecing them and the team keeps doing nothing.

Issuing a fucking statement about an SFA board member taking a job with a company Dermot Desmond owns shares in,  fucking hell !!

Is that better or worse than having Campbell Ogilvie running the SFA whilst his wife owned shares in Rangers, do you think?

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Campbell_Ogilvie

"In March 2012 Ogilvie admitted to being a member of the Employee Benefit Trust scheme at Rangers when he was both a Director of Rangers as well as the treasurer of the Scottish Football Association"

No conflict of Interest there, is there. Having a position of influence within the body responsible for deciding potential wrongdoing of the body he was a director of. Did he not deny any knowledge of the EBTs when the story broke? Stop trying to claim any moral high ground.

Still, belters gonna belt.

In March 2012 Ogilvie admitted to being a member of the Employee Benefit Trust scheme at Rangers when he was both a Director of Rangers as well as the treasurer of the Scottish Football Association

Edit: To fend of your comeback, it makes no difference what his actual position was at the SFA, he was firmly in the power balance, as treasurer then as vice-president. Was literally on the board that decided there was no wrongdoing, whilst he himself was being paid by the EBT scheme. Care to admit that was a clear conflict of interest that should have been declared at the time, or is it only an issue when it's your dirty relatives across the city doing it?
