First half we were unlucky and the second saw St Johnstone defend a lot better. Hard to get annoyed about it given that’s what we’ve done to a few teams this season.

Daz was MotM. Broke up play really well, seemed to be everywhere and his distribution was great; knew when to play each pass, keeping it simple or through the lines.

The bogey team strikes again;a blind man could see they would score with their first attack and so it proved-albeit partly self inflicted.

We had to score first to force them to come out their shell, but it was the same old story and no way were we scoring via aerial play against their robust defence.

Think we just have to savour the win in itself as it wasn't a great performance and benefiting from a mistake was possibly the only way we were going to score. Accies fans will no doubt be as frustrated as hell having seen us walk away with the points.

Big positive was Anderson and Shaughnessy looking really solid but not much that apart. Scougall showed good composure for the goal and Johnstone was relatively lively when he came on.

Saints will need to be a whole lot better on Wednesday to take anything.

Yep - we never concede from headers or set pieces. Ever.

We were shit. Don’t really care. Big positive was the centre backs looking more like themselves and Johnstone looked good off the bench.

Poor performance and still feel it's 3 points lost, created the best chances throughout the game, like most clubs at our level we would prosper greatly if we could unearth an out an out goalscorer.

The McMann, Imrie mix up was schoolboy stuff, Scougall showed composure to slot past Woods, until then saints had created nothing of note so disappointed about the outcome.

Need to brush ourselves down before Wednesday, Gogic back in for Sarris and plenty of options to replace the anonymous Lyons in midfield.

Poor first half, looked really disjointed or something, midfield wasn't at it at all. Difference in confidence between the teams were huge. Accies assured and willing to gamble, while everything we done was rushed and safe.

Second half was better from us. Still wasnt great though.

Not buying this "Accies were unfortunate not to win"/"we were awful" chat though, they had most of the ball but that Rojano chance aside I genuinely can't remember anything other than speculative shots drifting wide. Aside from the goal we had MOH have a header saved on the line aswell, so you could argue we had the best chances.

Hendry looks raw, but he was left horrendously isolated all match. Loathe to judge him either way on that

We were not unfortunate to win. We did however create a few chances more than St Johnstone. Lyons attempted lob which landed on the roof of the net, Rojano's miss from Imries cross, Templeton had a few shots which were near misses, one blocked almost on the line in both halves, it was our lack to convert one of these chances which resulted in us losing.

I employ a pragmatic approach when summing up a game at the end of the day we failed to score St Johnstone scored with almost their only noteable effort on goal hence they return to Perth with 3 valuable points.

Worth noting that after sixteen games last season we had pretty much an identical amount of points as this season. Think it was 23 then, and we're on 21 now.

Who is this Lyons character?

He scored the second goal at Ibrox and has contributed in the bulk of our 6 match unbeaten run, I'm not defending his performance today, he was off the pace as I have addressed in a previous post, he is not a player who is going to light up a game as he is not that type of player, overall I have been pleased with his recent efforts, today admittedly was not 1 of them.

Definitely think there was some luck balancing today, we had absolutely none, don't think one rogue bounce or bobble went to us. We make a terrible mistake and they score.

Important games coming up, where we need to pick up points, or that run will mean nothing.

Not sure how relevant that is. Whether the points total is comparable or not, I don't think we're the same team this season. We'll certainly struggle for top six.

Just putting things in perspective. We've won exactly the same amount of games aswell.
