To be fair, perhaps he is waiting for the outcome of this weekend's re-scheduled Scottish Junior Cup games to see which teams make it to round 4.
Had the games gone ahead as scheduled last week he would already have that knowledge and been able to publish fixtures which wouldn't need tweaking.
We'll see what arrives in the early part of next week, if not before.

I understand that, but don’t accept it.

The rules are very clear, it says no later than 30th November. Perhaps if lines of communication were clearer he could have said something similar to what you have, or if every other deadline had been adhered to then fine, but that hasn’t happened so far.

The man does what he wants ; when he wants and to who he wants , as for the club's they bottled the chance of change end of ; no point at all in complaining

Only very marginally over half of them.

Surprised no-one mentions the Management Committee populated by his pals. They have the ability to change things but it's makeup never seems to change.
There is more than one man to blame imho.

That's assuming that they have the bravery to question his authority. But I'm sure it's still 'his' Region and they'll do as they're told.

See if he is waiting on that, why not come out and say?? A quick message on Twitter, the website etc updating folk on the reasons, he might not get half the shit he normally gets.

Embaressing! Reading on here, Most junior fans / teams seriously consider themselves superior to the lowland league and you can't even get a few weeks worth of fixtures. Sooner you move over the better. Amateur leagues are better organised.

In this day and age with the advent of social media giving information to your customer base is easy and quickly done.  Fixtures man is a pen and paper addict in the age of the keyboard.  A simple computer programme that takes account of all the variables can be bought for the money raised at a match at Newlandsfield.  I have been going to see the juniors from the days of Dennistoun Waverley and I would hate to see it's demise due to intransigence on the part of an out of touch hierarchy

They already have this software, he refuses to use it.

"Refuses" or "is unable" to use it?

The latter is probably more likely,  but either way another person should be doing the job. With the current weather problems we are experiencing I wouldn't bet against some third round Scottish ties still being outstanding going into January. What good would a fixture list for league matches be then?

That's because the timing of the Junior Cup R2 & R3 is completely wrong. West region incompetence exacerbated by SJFA incompetence

What is your suggested schedule for Scottish cup games then?

ALL Scottish clubs should get together and table a motion to INSTRUCT the SJFA Management Committee to draw the first AND second round draws at the AGM of the Association.

This advance notice of fixtures would assist the 3 regions in preparation of fixtures.

Rounds 1, 2, 3 and 4 should be played at the end of August, September, October and November.

This would mean that the ties in the problem month of November would be HALVED and thereby reducing the impact that cancellations have on the fixture lists. December and January could be free from Scottish Ties and other rounds played as normal.

The management should look at the ties in Round 2 and pick out a tie that has a suitable venue where the 3rd round draw could be made probably around 5:30 – 6:00. Once the results are in. Again this advance notification would be of great benefit to the 3 regional secretaries in sorting out fixtures instead of having to wait until the week after the replays take place. The same should happen with the other rounds.

It only needs one club to table a motion for discussion at the AGM and then ALL clubs could vote on it.

Rounds 1, 2, 3 and 4 should be played at the end of August, September, October and November.

More than half the clubs would then have no further interest in the cup by the end of September and I don't see that going down well with them.

Taking the draw back to the clubs is what should be done but the sponsor wouldn't like it. Wait a minute, what sponsor?
