Has there been much rain up that way this week?

Shanner
For all I slag the Junior grade and it's often shambolic ways I quite like that teams are just blatantly making shit up to avoid playing tomorrow.

not man of the match
How can this be possible? The weather forecast has the temperature in that area as between 7 and 12 degrees up to Saturday evening. Probably because it was frozen. It was inspected today, not Saturday evening. pheasant plucker
Sad news about ‘The Burgh’. Sadly they appear to have been bumping along the bottom for a few seasons now. I hope they can turn a corner soon and almost certainly could if some people from a big catchment area step up to help. Burgh used to be a really successful side years ago and were of the big names in the game.

Earlier in this thread someone moaned about teams having been told they had this weekend off on the basis that players should just be told to get on with it because “they’re supposed to be semi professional”. But surely arranging matches on supposedly free weekends with 6 days notice is as amateur as it gets?

These cup fixtures shouldn't be a surprise to anyone, all clubs know that Scottish ties if cancelled will be played following week and the next and carry on till fulfilled,

They do well for a few seasons reach a cup final & hang around the top league for a season or 2 . The money man who incidentally was sponsoring the whole league at the time takes the huff & goes to an Ayrshire side sucked in by his promise of indescribable funds . 1st season he does great & gets the club to the quarters of the cup & mid table in the league . 2nd season it goes tits up. 3rd season the club is still blind until they have spent their budget & then sack him . He then returns to Burgh but by then it’s only him & a n other & that continues for 15 years until he chucks it eventually & leaves poor Ricky in the shit . The End

Burgh won the league. Along with Jim Sillett , Walker was probably in form manager in Central league at the time....just not the right guy for us , the right guy was already there.
