The 2022-23 group stage is complete, in the A league it will be Mexico, Panama, Canada and the USA in the final.  We clinched qualification after a comprehensive 4-1 win over old foes Honduras last night, two goals by Cyle Larin as well as markers from Jonathan David and Jonathan Osorio saw us through.

The draw for the final will be

USA vs Mexico

Canada vs Panama

Dying at a nation called Bonaire playing in this.  Not a member of Fifa I presume?

Was there not a period where one/both of Kosovo and Gibraltar played in Euros qualifying but not the World Cup qualifiers? They’re both full members of FIFA now but I don’t think joining UEFA or one of the other confederations automatically makes you a FIFA member.

Aye think this is similar, Bonaire are CONCACAF members so can playing in their NL and CONCACAF cup but not the WC.

Same deal with Martinique and Guadeloupe,

We need a St. Pierre & Miquelon team

Concacaf's rules regarding eligibility of nations is less strict than FIFA's, hence why non-independent overseas territories like Guadeloupe & Bonaire are Concacaf members but not FIFA members. Both territories are officially an integral part of France & The Netherlands respectively, so should they produce a world class player, they'd end up playing for the "parent nation".

Does Canada’s Scott Kennedy play in the 3rd tier of German football?

No

He got released after they were relegated from the second tier lol

2-0 USA is a fair result, they were better in pretty much every aspect

Canada had a chance to make the semi-finals of the Nations League tonight by seeing the tie against Jamaica over the line.  We won the first leg in Jamaica 2-1 and held a 1-0 lead at halftime of the second leg.  3-1 up after 3/4 of the tie and looking good....

Then we shat the bed.  Jamaica came out flying and quickly reminded everyone that Alastair Johnston is our only competent defender.  Leon Bailey hitting the bar should have been a warning sign to our interim coach Mauro Biello to make smart changes and do something to manage the game but that didn't happen and Shamar Nicholson punished us twice in the space of 5 minutes to level the tie.  Isma Kone put us back ahead before we conceded a penalty for a handball (which was a bit soft but a penalty by the letter of the law)  that was duly conceded by Bobby Decordova-Reid.

Unfortunately for us, CONCACAF are again being late to realize that the away goals rule is bullshit and so we went out on the away goals rule.

I am pretty frustrated right now at the spineless collapse
