The SNP take heavy bungs and are failing Scotland and do not actually want independence because that means they would have no one to blame but themselves.

My cat was in at the vet for a wee operation once and when I went to pick him up the vet said he was still groggy and maybe just give him "some rice and some carrots for dinner".  I had no idea that cats ate rice or that giving them veg was a thing.  I went home, cooked up some rice and chopped some carrots, plumped it down in front of him, he sniffed it once, looked at me and fucked off. Still think that vet was at the wind up.

Probably charged you about £700 for the pleasure too. Vets are up there with drug cartels and garden centres when it comes to knowing how to earn a few quid.

I'm not prepared to try that on my cat. I think he'd maul me for taking the piss.

Aye, it was when I had just re-homed him from a family who were getting rid of him, said family had obviously never groomed the poor fucker and his arse was matted/caked in shite. Vet had to put him to sleep to shave his wee arse and I'm sure it was about £100 all in (was a few years ago now). Absolute bump. Will take him to the barbers next time.

I did try to give him a look of "I don't know what the f**k this about either mate" but he wasn't having it. Retreated to the radiator for a nap and expected some meaty goodness when he woke up again.

I decided to ditch dairy and honey from my already vegetarian diet but found that I couldn't stick around in vegan product social media groups. Apparently despite not eating anything other than plant based meals and buying cosmetics and cleaning products which are not tested on animals I'm still a total scumbag for the following reasons
* I refuse to feed my dogs a vegan diet.
* I married someone who isn't vegan.
* I sometimes buy, prep and cook meat for my partner who can't cook for toffee.
* I have pets.
The worst of it was the dog diet issue, I ended leaving pretty much every group I joined because the admin were absolutely militant in their belief that dogs should be fed a vegan diet. I wound up banned from one group when I advised a newcomer that feeding a dog on highly processed plant matter would probably kill it in a fairly short space of time.
Your a monster!!

Just out of interest, why were you looking to join those groups in the first place?

It's very handy for product information. Lots of things have milk or egg  in them for example so groups were mostly just folk posting vegan products they'd bought and enjoyed ir recommending restraunts that have good options for vegans.

Saves me standing about in the supermarket looking at the back of every cereal box looking for the one brand of granola that doesn't contain honey.

In between it all though folk were just looking for arguments. Tesco and Waitrose introduced a new range of vegan meat substitues and the info posts were full of people claiming that no self-respecting vegan would go near something that looks like meat.

Later found a website that was easier to use in any case.

One thing that has always puzzled me about vegetarians is that they eat eggs. Eggs are pretty clearly animal matter so how can they be part of a Vegetarian diet?

Quote

Whether or not you can eat eggs depends largely on the type of vegetarian diet that you follow. Semi-vegetarian and pescetarian diets allow for the consumption of eggs, as well as some animal or fish meats. Among pure vegetarians, lacto-ovovegetarians eat eggs and dairy products, but no meat, poultry or fish.
