Scourie. This place is unbelievable, a wee photo doesn't do it justice.

Probably the most scenic drive to any football ground, anywhere, other than no doubt some postcard ground in the show pony Faroe Islands.

Wonderful.

Guessing that every league is taking October as a restart with fans unless told otherwise ? Trying to get up in November but not if I can't get to see anything !

any big government bedwetter rules re fans attending football are unlikely to be of any relevance for most of the NCL,which is great as im desperate to see live football

Really think that the non league game in general is a different beast to the rest of football tbh, already watching games down here in Bristol, with parks games (below  county  league) starting yesterday. Just gotta go with the flow,do the right things.

of course it is but a lot of folk are enjoying their power trip at the moment-fine to go to work/pub/shops but making out the footy is as dangerous as a family trip to a minefield.with social distancing i strongly suspect watching an inverness athletic game with 20 others is unlikely to be fraught with peril

That's me booked up for Scourie's inaugural home game v Inverness Athletic. The local hotel's closed for the year and don't fancy staying in a B&B with no bar nearby, so found a room in Ullapool for £37.80 a night.

Loch Ness appear to be using the rugby club for games this season. Invermess Athletic back out in Muir Of Ord.

Might get a few more along if they're not competing with Clach or ICT on a Saturday. They must have made a decent amount off their shirt sales push and sponsors, I can't imaging hiring Canal Park with floodlights is sustainable purely on rattling a bucket at the likely dozen spectators.

Will the season start without anyone knowing whether the winner will get promoted to the Highland league

It won't make much practical difference, only Golspie will have the required facilities and they'd be unlikely to be refused membership if they applied, if they win the NCL or not, imo. There wouldn't need to be a demotion.

Looks like it. The winner would have to be Golspie Sutherland for it to make any difference. Golspie have never applied for HL entry AFAIA even though they could have done so in recent years and would have been difficult to deny entry to if they had. The only team eligible for promotion from the north region would be Banks o Dee who have also not applied in recent years and even knocked back an unsolicited invitation to replace Cove. Where am I going with this? It will no doubt happen in due course but it's probably not viewed as being urgent enough to merit special general meetings if it didn't get dealt with in time for the AGMs that were held over the summer.
