eyeswideopen15
No disrespect to any team or player but how can there not be one player selected from the team that looks odds on to be promoted from the first but 3 selected from a team thats almost bottom of the full Ayrshire set up. I know it doesn't necessarily mean anything but makes u wonder
4-3-3R
I was always of the mind that there can always be good players playing at any level but they need to have the intensity to compete at the desired level. I suppose it’s the reason for these friendly games to see if the lads he’s chosen have what’s required.
eyeswideopen15
Yeah I know and I do agree with that but are the best players in the bottom leagues not likely be at the teams at the the top end of the leagues. A little simplistic but u must get my point
4-3-3R
I do get ur point but mates play together and sometimes this results in good players playing lower level. It’s obvious that the lower down the levels u go the less likely u are to find a lad with the desired ability
eyeswideopen15
Yes and I'm agreeing that their are plenty of good players playing with mates in the lowest leagues but 9/10 they good players are playing with teams such as Irvine killie and etc, teams that are top of the lowest leagues. 100% agree but the desire of some top lower league players tho

The Goalie123
Understand the thought process about being close to the bottom of the Ayrshire leagues however it was only three games played. Paterson has been involved before and Balfour is from the juniors. Not forgetting it is a 28 man bounce game at this stage only. If players have been overlooked their secretary or manager should contact the management to put them forward.
4-3-3R
It’s down to the coaching team to select and invite players to the trials, clubs don’t recommend players anymore I’m sure.

The Goalie123
I know the management picked this group but years gone by teams put forward players. I'm not involved with anyone now but if it was me and I had a player who a thought had been overlooked I would get in touch with them
