Threave Rovers vs St Cuthbert Wanderers

Recommended Posts

Looking forward to this one on Saturday, hopefully it doesn’t fall foul to the weather.

Nice wee ground Meadow Park, was there pre season for their friendly against QOS. Nice pies and Magners in the bar too, what more could you ask for?

After that, it’ll only leave Newton Stewart in the South League that I haven’t seen yet this season :thumsup2

Wasn’t the best of games, I feel the wind played a big part in spoiling it but mostly the ref was poor and wasn’t really content to let the game flow.

Threave won easily enough, 4-1. They didn’t really have to get out of second gear to be honest. Was 1-0 at half time then they made it 3-0 within 10 minutes of the second half. They then took their foot off the gas, allowing Saints to pull one back. Saints then had a man sent off 15 minutes from the end and Threave added a 4th.

Although it wasn’t the best of games, I did still thoroughly enjoy it. Nice to see a crowd of a little over 100, not sure what they normally average and the pies are still amazing

evh78 that's a bit o a bias opinion to be fair bit a suppose every buddy sees games different Saints done awright first half didnae turn up second but two teams noo at different levels Saints building and starting again and the Threave in a position that Saints used to be in with a ready made team £££ so if the Threave dinae go on and win the league and cups there will huv to be questions asked with that squad bit it's ok having aw the so called best players it's different getting them tae do it but to be fare the urny that great shakes

Aye it was a lot closer first half right enough although Saints didn’t take advantage of having the wind on their side then.

Totally agree with you that although Threave have all the so called best players, they’re hardly great shakes.
