Graeme has had to contend with difficult and challenging circumstances but conducted himself in a thoroughly professional manner. He will take some time to consider his options, which include returning to his role at the Rangers Academy.

Surely he won't go back to working with the youths?

Pretty sure that Rangers are now into double figures for statements made this season. A statement made every 4.5 games.

Consistent, if anything.

They've probably only been counting since January

He's been doing a pretty good job with them, hasn't he?

Indeed but would you want to work for the club still?  He's been treated like shit and given little backing but they still want him to do what he did before?

Well, quite.  So not only have they screwed up their first team's confidence, they're throwing away years of good work at the development level. Good work, Rangers board, good work.

The youth are getting better results without him at the moment. They are beating some very good teams with the most recent result being a pumping of Leicester who pumped Murty's youth team earlier in the season.

Youth teams are not about results.   Rangers seem to have been playing quite a few young Scottish players here and there this season.  That may be because the club's crippled financially, or because Pedro's signings were utterly honking, but the youth teams are about producing players who are comfortable when called upon by the first team.  Seems to me that one of the very few positives Rangers could take from this season are the number of young Scottish players in their squad, most of whom have been coached by Murty.

If they're going to fire their manager every time they experience a humiliating loss to their twin sister, this will be an amusing next few years :)

Gus MacPherson for manager,

At Queens Park so relocation will be cheap,

At Queens Park so should be able to match wages

His initials are GM, so they can keep all Murty manager gear branded GM and pass it on saving more money.

Gus to ease the pressure on the Purse

Farewell Murty, thanks for the memories. I don't think he was the shilling to be honest, he seemed to have a mad glare of what the fucks going on here about him, reminded me a bit of your man Jack Sparrow from POTC.

This.

All this faux sympathy over a guy who actually chose to be associated with that train wreck deserves no fucking sympathy, stupid c**t.

Agree with these sentiments. No one who works for Sevco deserved an ounce of sympathy

I'm not really having this "feeling sorry for him cause he's a nice guy" stuff either.

He had plenty of opportunities to leave and potentially salvage his career. Instead he stayed, and let himself be hung out to dry by an absolute shambles of an organisation. He's not proven himself to be anything more than a bang average manager, and a fucking idiot of a person for letting himself get shafted the way he did.

ETA - Taking nothing away from the fact that his chapter of the Banter Years is still absolutely hilarious.
