If she was to be involved in a crash is could have dire consequences. Also pretty sure there is a limit to how much you can pile up in your house.

Papers say theres a fuel shortage. Moron population go out and buy 10x more fuel every hour than is usual. Fuel runs out. Papers report fuel shortage. If you wanted you could create a bread shortage by starting a story on Twitter that there'll be a shortage over the next few days. Folk would then go and buy all they can, other folk go in and take photos of the empty shelves, chaos ensues over the rest of the country.

philpy
Sainsbury's at Straiton had no unleaded today. Round to Costco, no problem. £1.28 a litre, even better.

Hedgecutter
Shell garage in Bucksburn was closed this morning so we topped up whilst in Inverurie (needed for heading 'down south'* tomorrow). No queues or issues... until some guy in a Hackett polo shirt rocked up with a pile of cans. *a term my other half uses for anywhere south of Perth. tamthebam
I had to fill up for the trip to Annan this morning so went to the local rip off BP garage in South Edinburgh because if people were panic buying they'd go to the cheaper garages first. It was busy but not more so than on a normal Saturday morning.

I know what a gallon is, it’s eight pints. A bit less than five litres. HTH.
