Quite a strange appointment.

After the last two results, surely giving Ellis a bit more time would have been a better solution, if the alternatives were the likes of Hughes and Laszlo.

So rather than appoint a manager, you'd give more time to a guy who has stated he doesn't want the job?

He should be forced to do it.  Like they did towards the end with Jesse in Breaking Bad.

If he can also cook high quality crystal meth we could sell it to the folk over the road and use the proceeds to stave off administration.

Win/win.

Shabba is my preferred choice out of all the names been put forward so far

Could be a very decent manager for United.

Most likely will be another horrendous appointment in the end though.

Right lads, we know who on P&B gets it in the neck if this goes wrong.

Thanks AK.

Fair enough, just thought he might be open to persuasion after a couple of decent wins, perhaps in conjunction with an experienced head to oversee it.

Not bothered anyway, pretty hilarious that the BS has taken all this time and ended up with a comedy appointment like Shabba. 8)

He'd have to work flat out to get it done by Friday though.

The lab is all set up.  Do you think we've just been sitting around twiddling our thumbs since McKinnon got sacked?

With the likelihood that we would only receive 6p for every £1 sold sadly this idea won't be enough to stave off the inevitable Friday administration.

Is Laszo your favoured manager, due to what you think he can do, or due to the fact we'll have a manager we can call Shabba?

read tonight Tommy Wright is favourite. he's the one I fear most. United appoint him and you'll win the league imo

The chances of that ever happening was verging on 0.01%, at a push.

In all seriousness though; he's not a member of the traditional Scottish manager sect, he's proven himself with Hearts and ran the old firm close and he should hopefully have a bit of knowledge from his time here.

His greatest quality is he's dealt with a batshit chairman before.
