How about Fort's quality compared to the NCL teams? Would they be expected to be challenging for that league if they entered it with the current squad?

Around the turn of the decade they actually had a reserve side in the NCL, which was middling.

With how much may have changed since then I'm not sure how the first team would compare. Especially as they may lose what little they have by dropping down a level.

Think they drew with Inverness Athletic in a friendly a few weeks ago.

Very respectable 3-0 loss to Linlithgow Rose in the Scottish cup

They played very well, kept their discipline and shape after the keeper was sent off. Had a few chances to score too. Linlithgow  were poor, especially in attack. Honestly can't see why Fort are getting so many gubbings.

Have to agree Fort were well disciplined and stuck to their game plan and credit due where it’s deserved. Suppose a case of what might have been had Fort kept 11 on the park.
Up till the sending off FW are capably dealt with whatever Rose through at them.
Must be said though Linlithgow are no where near the force they were.

Possibly HL teams are better than Lithgae?

HL teams' results against clubs around Linlithgow Rose's level were pretty bad today. Rose have started this season very poorly - a combination of injuries, availability, form and arguably shape - and have a particular problem middle-to-front. But yeah, right now, most HL teams would beat us, which is very disappointing as our record v HL clubs is Pl9 W5 D3 L1 F 20 A10.

Perhaps people assumed the gap between the sides was bigger than it actually proved.

Fort have been getting thumped, but had posted some improved results recently - drawing with Strathspey and only losing 4-1 to Keith.

Linlithgow are 7th in their EOSL conference (admittedly with 1 game-in-hand on a couple of teams). Finished bottom of their EOSQL section. Thrashed at home by Dunbar in EOS Qualifying Cup.

It wasn't a team sweeping all before them atop LL - or even EOSL - against a Fort side shipping double-figures every week.

I was at the game, 4-3 to Lossie against 10 man Fort right at the death. Lossie players and coaches celebrating like they won the Champions League. The quality was crap, but it was thoroughly entertaining.

Thought FW might get something today, Lossie are also in poor form.

:(

They've got a bad habit of getting a player sent off when it looks like they might be getting somewhere. When did it happen in the game?
