I'm a Las Vegas virgin and heading there next week on a boys jolly.

Staying at the Bellagio.

Hit me up with your tips!

All on red.  Works all the time.

Been to Vegas twice before but with family both times so probably not good at giving the sort of advice you're looking for!

Fair enjoyed the High Roller and did the zip line down Fremont Street.

We have now done the western US road trip a few times - tend to go every second year as it ticks so many boxes - but the first one we did back in 2002  was the exact same LV, SF and LA triangle.

For Las Vegas - try and go during the weeknights, as hotel prices (and minimum stakes at the tables) tend to double at weekend and it fills up with bellends mainly from S.California.  It's an incredible place, but we avoided it on our last trip and we're happy to do so - got the casino fix in Reno and Stateline Nevada (which borders the Californian resort of S.Lake Tahoe) - about 400 miles north of Vegas.

San Francisco is spectacular - bit of a traffic nightmare stuck on that peninsula and quite cold at times, but loads to see and do.

LA as mentioned is just a sprawl of motorways and neighbourhoods ranging from Beverley Hills to Compton................worth seeing for a couple of nights, but no more.

We have tied in the Rocky Mountain states with our trips in recent times - mainly Colorado/Montana - and also did Seattle/Oregon/Whistler one year, which was wonderful...........but if looking for other alternatives nearer to where you're heading then San Diego, Lake Tahoe, Monterey and (my personal chillout fav.) Pismo Beach all deserve honourable mentions.   We also tried Scottsdale and Palm Springs, but both were too hot in the summer.
