Ah, wirds fae Shetland!

Got stuck over night there once on the way offshore, had to stay at Busta Brae hotel, it was like Faulty Towers. Had a good night out in Lerwick before a really shitty 5.30 check in the next morning.

Is Gadge nae a traveller word?

I lived there from when I was born to when to was 5 so not 100% sure the origins but it is used in Shetland dialect.

There’s a poster who frequents this thread should be able to identify which village pub I’m enjoying a pint in. Happy SaTurday one and all.

Forries, I was in on Friday night and the pints were pish. Had to resort to Gin

Only had two in there last weekend before getting the train. Both were fine but no better than that.

It's a damn shame that they can't get the perfect pint consistently

It’s very disappointing when pints are poor. Luckily my local is more hot than miss but there was a couple of weeks last year cider was the go to pint due to quality issues. Dark days.

That's good but other than the Forries you can't get a T in Dalgety Bay or the Woodside in Aberdour which is very sad
