Midnight Runner
Not the greatest quality game but was in balance until last 20 mins when tynecastle exploited tiredness in Peebles side and deserved the spoils, Peebles can hold their heads high and have a number of impressive performances, think they'll give a few of the so called bigger teams a fright this season, young Ger and his coaching staff certainly continuing to improve. Good effort guys.

HibeeJibee
Worth adding that beyond the core prize of the trophy, whichever wins the AJC final on Sun 15th Oct will also progress to the South & East of Scotland Cup-Winners' Shield on Sun 19th Nov. There they'll play Mid Annandale or Bonnyton Thistle - contesting the parallel Southern Alternate Alba Cup final at Annan on Fri 13th Oct - for a place in next season's Scottish Cup. Fitting enhancement to the Alex Jack Cup in its 30th year.
