Nearly a full league card this weekend after the highs and lows of the Scottish Cup. So what’s the thoughts of the brain trust of P&B?

for what it’s worth I’ll go for a tight game at Islecroft, with Dalbeattie coming out on top by 1 goal.

EK to bounce back against the students of Edinburgh.

Gala and CSS to share the spoils at Netherdale.

My surprise of the day will be at Raydale where I fancy Gretna to hold leaders BSC.

a resurgent East Stirling to be too strong for Hawick.

Selkirk and Spartans to fight out a draw.

Whitehill to take care of the Vale.

I just hope our fans dont make an arse of themselves by ridiculously abusing Tully. Yes, he was in charge when we got relegated and he should've been punted well before we went down he also had a swuad full of players who failed to pull their weight and one of them got a move to the bully big time (no typo).

I met Tulls in a kilt shop over the summer and he was ok for an exchange of pleasantries.  I would never dream of abusing him but then again I go to the footy to meet people and socialise.  Life's too short to get on each other's backs.

As for the game Hawick's a great wee town. Should be a nice day out and looking forward to having a look around before the game :)

It's an interesting week overall. Tomorrow marks 1/3 point of the league season - and next weekend marks 2/5. Good choice of action too with 7 games plus 2 Scottish Cup replays tomorrow; 3 games on Tuesday; 5 games on Wednesday; then a derby card of 1 game next Friday and 7 next Saturday, both under the "Non League Day" banner. By this stage of the season a better idea of who's involved in the various races starts to reveal itself.

It will also be interesting to see how Edusport and Stirling Uni get on in their Scottish Cup replays. Since the cup went 'all-in' for 2007-08 there have only been 2 occasions when the southerly seniors have had more representation than the northerly counterparts... the first season (7 HL & 1 NCL v 8 EOS & 1 SOS) and last season (7 HL v 11 LL). If both were to win tomorrow it would happen again, although both ties seem well-poised; and Edusport are of course away from home and with a couple of players suspended. It's the Frenchmen's 4th try to win a Scottish Cup tie.

I don't think I'm being particularly bold in predicting a Shire win tomorrow, as even before last week's win at K-Park it would probably have been most people's pre-match prediction. Although I doubt it will be a paneling on the level that Hawick have received on a couple of occasions this season, hopefully we can take control of the game straight away, nab an early goal, and avoid any major screw-ups.

Side note: I noticed on Hawick's twitter that in their last game, the cup tie against Deveronvale, Tully was playing in midfield, at the ripe old age of 41. I wonder if this was just because it was a cup tie or whether he'll be a regular player?

Elsewhere I think the top 3 will all pick up wins - although if any of them drop points it'll be Spartans away to Selkirk - as will Cumbernauld and Whitehill, with a good chance of a high-scoring draw between Gala and CSS.
