Loonytoons
Very negative tactics today , malone my man of the match . We sat very deep the whole game First time this season we've supplied attack from midfield for most of the game. Cox back on form, Eddie was class and the new CH pairing dominated. Much better performance but started to panic with 5 to go.Stranraer were a bunch of cloggers today, first tackle of the game was worthy of a yellow. The Stranraer guy in the middle had a very good game though.
dee_62
Been critical of the defence lately but that result was down to the strike force. Enough chances to win a couple of games.
victormeldrew
Can someone tell me, what was the point of giving Balmer two games in charge?

See needs to bulk up, too easily pushed off the ball but definitely a player in there.

That's a fair point. Even if he'd have won his two games, it was still a bizarre decision.

No permanent manager in place so someone needs to be in the hot seat. Malone or Lister about the only alternative as far playing staff goes. kvz2000
Sounds like another poor showing from Stranraer, be interesting to hear from someone at the game but struggling to take any positives from that result .

(some would say that would be a bonus) not me though.
Loonytoons
Sellars plus Malone or Mensing would have made sense. Keeping Balmer was bonkers. Mensing been at the club for a matter of weeks, bad call in that one. Balmer has got managerial experience, Malone doesn't.Being honest, it was a sensible appointment.......as long as it is only an interim appointment. Maybe the club needed the gate money from today's game to pay up his contract.

Managerial experience.....who really gives a shit about that! He appeared to be in charge of the tactic booklet that confuses just about every part-time footballer, pick the best starting 11-play them in their best positions and tell them to bust a gut for each other-club and fans, over 2 games it really isn't rocket science is it? Tarmac
Regardless of who manages the team, it's a results game and this season so far has been a bit of a disaster. The team spirit at a low point and performances have been dire. However, todays game showed signs of improvement, Started the game brightly and chased from the start. Looked like we had a bit shape to the team and desire to push on. Got a good goal and defended well for, what has to be said most of the game. To be honest there was no lack of effort from anyone. Actually felt robbed at the end conceding with the last kick of the ball. At the moment the team needs to take confidence from a decent performance and move on. Agree back four did well and across midfield put in a shift box to box. I applauded them off the park, the reaction of our players at the end showed how they felt. The Stranraer guy in the middle had a very good game though. Good coming from someone who has Cox in their team.We were very poor today, but not quite as bad as last week. Had the bulk of possession but had absolutely no idea what to do with it. Forfar had most of the chances but couldn’t get a second goal to kill the game. Will always be ok with an away point, but we need improvements, particularly in our jittery defence. Saying that Cox was lucky not to see red with his lunge late on in the game.

However the subs and reorganisation perhaps did. Agnew should have equalised in first half. Forfar could have been out of sight in 2nd half despite stranraer playing better. Belford making some great saves. Agnews 30yarder was parried okoh hit bar with rebound a bad miss. However with last kick of the game stoney finished well. Some ref that. He should learn not all physical challenges are fouls. Fouls so far this season.
