Easily the worst set off interviews and the worst set off business plans ever. Even the ones currently running their own businesses couldnt put together a reasonable plan and the others clearly had a "good idea" and somehow managed to get on the show. I say it every year, but this is just further proof that this whole business plan format is nonsense. Good old Lahndahn bahrrah boi Sugar was NEVER going to invest in Lotties idea, even if she had put together something even vaguely resembling a business plan. Yet, she goes through 10 weeks just to find out. Im not sure Lewis stood much of a chance with his holiday thing either. It was almost painful watching Sugar pick his final two. Most of the businesses plans didn’t seem to have enough substance so it was less of a case of picking holes in them, more just trying to find any form or sense in them. Forget about different classes, Alan Sugar’s comment that Lottie’s business plan didn’t have enough substance for them to check if it was financially viable said it all. They shouldn’t be allowed on the show if their plans don’t pass very basic criteria. Even Scarlett made the final despite not detailing what the investment would actually be spent on. No real investor would have given her the time of day. Carina was the yearly idiot who thinks because they have one successful shop/restaurant/café that they should be taking over the UK with them. Made worse by the fact she’s not actually the most important person in the current business. You’ve still got to love Mike Soutar’s interviews though – the guy who went to Carina’s café and bought stuff from Pamela’s website.
