James franco's "Frankie" character has definately been influenced by De Niro's "Johnny Boy" from Mean Streets. Season 2 is every bit as good as the first. this is by far my favourite show of recent years. I just love how amoral it is. I don't think any of the characters are going to finish with a happy ending. Can't wait for the series finale though next week. Very underated show IMO.
