Newbornbairn
To be titled "Star Trek Burnham" Join Captain Michael Burnham on the deck of the USS Michael Burnham as it embarks on a five year voyage to bring wokeness to the galaxy.
Rodhull
Finally watched the last couple of episodes and that was really not very good at all. The whole Burn story ended up being really disappointing. On 13/01/2021 at 15:48, MixuFruit said: I'm still vaguely hoping they go with the vibe from the last minute or so of the show and have a TNG style one and done show. Question is have they got enough folk left to watch it? Yeah the last couple of minutes is about the only thing keeping me hopeful about any future series. At least now she’s captain they hopefully won’t feel the need for Burnham to be constantly told how amazing she is by other characters every few episodes. I was reading that the Scientist boy in the wheelchair who I’d recognised from other shows like Jericho has been diagnosed with ALS and that’s obviously why he’s in the chair. He had played multiple Klingon characters in previous series before his condition had progressed.
Fullerene
The whole turbolift scene was about "wouldn't it be scary if somebody fell out of the turbolift". The problem with that is that they are on a spaceship. Surely they can adjust artificial gravity so that anyone falling out of the turbolift would just float away or fall more gradually. The big problem with these season long story lines is that the finale is always a let down. "Oh, that is what caused the burn? How dull."

scottsdad
Oh no. I don't know if i have the energy for another series. It's so unoriginal - always referencing minor parts of past series - and the storylines are just a blubbering mess. I couldn't care less if the characters all get killed off in episode 1 of the new series. Well, except Tilly. Genuinely have to decide if this is worth watching.
Clown Job
New trailer Been a big fan of Disco, but this season looks a bit meh
scottsdad
Just a masochist here - I haven't enjoyed Disco very much but continue to watch it.
Rodhull
See it looks like Netflix has lost the rights for Discovery and will have to wait until Viacom launches their streaming service at some point here next year. Wouldn't be surprised if the same thing happens with Picard on Amazon Prime. Can't say I'm that bothered as it had become a bit of a chore to watch.
Clown Job
What a load of shite. Having to wait months after it’s aired in the US and subscribe to another streaming service? Nah, I’ll pass
FairWeatherFan
Seems like a dumb move on paper. Paying money to buy back the rights now, when no one internationally really has access to Paramount+. A decent chunk of people are just going to stream it elsewhere or kind of forget about it. scottsdad
My son still wants to watch it. Pirate it is.
Boghead ranter
New titles, new crew uniforms, pretty much the same otherwise. Those who like it will still like it, those who don't, still won't.
NorthernLights
It's going to be on Pluto TV in the UK after ViacomCBS realised that pulling it from Netflix internationally just before it was due to be released wasn't great publicity for them. https://www.engadget.com/star-trek-discovery-season-4-pluto-tv-streaming-174019555.html
Clown Job
Never heard of Pluto TV, but it’s a free streaming service so that’s isn’t bad I suppose
FairWeatherFan
Don't know much about PlutoTV but seems you have to watch this live as it won't be in their on demand section. Which is why the pay per episode mention gets the mention.
Clown Job
I can’t even find a guide on Pluto to know when it’s on tomorrow. They do have a channel that plays Baywatch 24/7 though. Edit: Found it, it’s on its Sci-Fi channel at 9pm tomorrow Edited November 25, 2021 by Clown Job
scottsdad
On episode 1, it reminded me of the first episode of Doctor Who Flux. Not bad, but not great.
