Does anyone know how the money raised to replace Partick Thistle's flags compares to the money raised by Rangers fans to save their club from dying?  I haven't seen it mentioned in this thread and am anxious for a comparison.

Jagfox, have you contacted the Currants to see if they want to donate? I don't have twitter (I'm too verbose for 140 characters tbf) but it seems that tweeting the club/lodge (where it would probably be seen by thousands) would get a response.

Great effort amigo.

How about:

"Scottish Cup Champions 1921"
"League Cup Champions 1971"
"Scottish Football League Champions 2002, 2013, 2014, 2015, 2016, 2017"
"Tennents' Sixes Champions 1993, 1994, 1995, 1996, 1997, 1998, 1999, 2000, 2001, 2002, 2003, 2004, 2005, 2006, 2007, 2008, 2009, 2010, 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014, 2015, 2016, 2017"

We really are lucky to be watching Thistle at such a successful point in our history.

A flag is like having a child or pet to some people. There’s that glorious moment where you submit your own individual design to the flag design company to be worked on. You know that in a matter of weeks that your flag will be ready to be collected. It’s been brewed to perfection like a nice cask of ale on the south coast of England. It’s then yours to be enjoyed. Perhaps in your bedroom or with ravers at music festivals. Then, there is a flag which is even more special.

Partick Thistle has a small but proud following. ‘Real time banter’ can be heard flowing from each stand of our ground every couple weeks at home games, mixing with every whiff of Bovril emanating from foam cups. It’s a social environment you’d want to bestow on even your worst enemies. Unless, that is, your enemy is Sevco.

On Friday the 15th of September a Sevco fan group broke into our majestic ground, Firhill Stadium and stole 3 flags out of the North Stand which belonged to supporters of our club. The board, in our opinion, has released what we’d at best call an ‘average, lukewarm’ response to investigating the whereabouts of these flags.

It comes with great reluctance and regret that the Firhill Radicals must come out of our dormant status to bail the club out and find the perpetrators of this callous act.

Mark our words. These criminals will be caught and dealt with by the Firhill Radicals.

We’ve been in early discussions about the punishment for these silly neds that have done this. However; one popular repercussion was discussed and chosen. The Firhill Radicals can confirm that be for the robbers will receive a ‘mass pile on’ from current and former members of the Firhill Radicals.

Please be patient with us during this operation as it may take a couple of days but as Eddie Prentice found to his cost, we’re not a group to be messed with.

:o

Sorry, I stopped reading after this.
Is it a flag, a pet, a child or a cask ale that you're havering about?

Bennett's post is a cut and paste job from a joke post on WAT.
