Warehouse work might work for you though. Or just work in a 24/7 Asda. I don't blame you for not wanting to do bar work, i did it a few times and absolutely hated every minute of it.

Probably because you were serving them half drunk pints.

Have spoken with Step Change and got a plan in place. Hopefully none of the companies reject it! It will take up almost half of my monthly wages for 5 months. That's before I pay rent, council tax, electricity and of course my Debt Arrangement Scheme (that still has over 5 years to run), as well as food and such essentials. Will leave me having to keep a very tight rein of things and really curtail what I can do, but needs must. I've already had to cancel a gig I was going to this week, which is a but gutting as I was looking forward to it and to seeing some friends I've not seen in ages. But then it's what I get for being a tit.
After 5 months I'll only have the debts left that the DAS covers but will be out of the payday loan cycle and the credit card will be totally paid off as well. It will hopefully force me to stop doing such stupid shit and might help with other problems as well. Sets me back in some plans I had, but I've wasted circa 16 years of my life, so a few more months won't be that bad.

Will be a slog mate but stick at it. 5 months is no time in the grand scheme of things.
I see part time work has been mentioned, I worked in a bookies as a student. At the time it was a thought but looking back it was a pretty easy number - as long as you didn’t get a shop where the regulars were wanks. Would most likely mean working a Friday or Saturday night but they can be quite flexible.

Showing your age here, I'm pretty certain self-service petrol pumps have been the norm since DA was born.

A couple of months back I was getting Petrol in Livingston and there was an old boy filling up for people. I think he was getting paid for it.

I didn't tip but I had already started to fill up by the time he approached. Seemed a nice wee old guy. Said he hadn't been doing it long.

it was at the garage on the edge of Livingston on the road (A71?) that goes to Kirknewton.

Lizzie Brice shell.

Aye there is usually someone to assist at that garage but f**k asking the boy to fill up for me. Height of laziness.

My account seems to have scammed for the pricey sum of £27.39 by some jokers calling themselves MYDIGIFOOTPRINTPLUS. Bank have cancelled my card and a fraud case has been started. I Googled them but it turned up no results, as if they don't even exist. Hopefully I'll be getting the money back soon. Luckily since I'm off today I was able to fire down to the branch and withdraw some cash. My account now looks like this though;

Fortunately I was able to withdraw more than enough for my shopping for next couple of weeks, and when the money from this shitey scam gets refunded it'll be like a little bonus. I get paid a week on Tuesday, but that's when the DMP starts, so the belt tightening will really begin then.

Shite luck but could be worse. They could have taken out an actual large sum (I also paid my rent today, so this morning there quite a bit in the account), really leaving me fucked. And as I said, I've was able to withdraw more than enough from the branch to see me more than sorted until payday.

In other news, I have fired off two complaints to the Ombudsman today about 2 of the payday loan companies I'm claiming against, both of who were pretty quick to respond to my original complaint with a swift 'Nay'. The other companies have yet to respond, and from my brief research will most likely wait until the very end of the 8 weeks they have to do so.

I've been thinking about some part time work. Not something I want to do really but if I can maybe get a couple of evenings a week somewhere it could help. Will have to look in to it

If you’re considering some part-time work, I’d recommend the bookies - for work, not financial solution. Easy enough to get 9/12/15 hour contracts, it’s easy work and there’s a good chance you’ll get to watch a decent amount of football whilst getting paid for it.

But please, for the love of f**k, don’t gamble.

I gambled less when I worked in the bookies than I do now. Think it’s easier to see the downside when you can see your shops profits etc.

My account was scammed for £4k+ for a drone with £6k pending a month or so ago, had the cash back within 2 days and never had to sign any fraud forms, I'm taking it that the bank never followed their own procedures to pay it out in the 1st place.

I tend to gamble when I'm working but daft wee lucky 15s and that. Nothing more sobering than watching someone narrate their losses on a FOBT.

Dependent who I was in with, we’d do the same. A wee lucky 15 or a placepot, then usual Saturday coupon. We had a boy who never played the machines then ended up dropping a load daily, a walking example of how addictive they can be.
Anyway, as we’ve both said it is a good part time number. Had a really good laugh and can be flexible.
