Quick look at the league table shows that Rangers are in 3rd, but 5 other teams have conceded fewer goals. There could be all sorts of reasons for that; however, it is at least some objective data that a problem got Rangers at the moment is their defence and goalkeeper, relative to other teams at around the same level in the league. The market valuation for Gordon is a bit misleading if Foderingham is actually better than him. Both the published estimate and the rumoured Chelsea interest put him quite a bit more "valuable" than WF. Of course, this is all purely objective (for all of its limitations), so it probably won't carry as much weight as a devoutly held personal view. If you're right, Rangers should be able to get "Gordon money" - a couple of million - for him when he leaves, as they've just extended his contract.
