HTG
Especially Gibraltar. But Michael Howard was advocating blowing the dirty Spanish b*****ds away if they went near a sovereignty claim on Gibraltar. He should be spinning like a top at this sudden UK/Spain spooning session.

AUFC90
The EU have been fuckin murder since this whole thing realy kicked off at the start of last month, they'v backed spain to the hilt and empowered them to act in the way they have including their comment about how they do not want member states fracturing, as if it should be any of their business at all, Cant believe so many indy supporters are tripping over themselves to join the EU as if its the greatest thing ever. no point swapping one foreign ruler for another. thank f**k we're leaving After the last few weeks I'd be quite happy if an indy Scotlanf told them to go f**k themselves.
welshbairn
Looks like Belgium have good legal grounds to refuse extradition. Rebellion and sedition don't appear as crimes in Belgian law and they aren't in the list of crimes that merit mandatory extradition. Misuse of public funds to pay for the referendum may be more ambiguous. Here's the list of relevant crimes: Quote - participation in a criminal organisation, - terrorism, - trafficking in human beings, - sexual exploitation of children and child pornography, - illicit trafficking in narcotic drugs and psychotropic substances, - illicit trafficking in weapons, munitions and explosives, - corruption, - fraud, including that affecting the financial interests of the European Communities within the meaning of the Convention of 26 July 1995 on the protection of the European Communities' financial interests, - laundering of the proceeds of crime, - counterfeiting currency, including of the euro, - computer-related crime, - environmental crime, including illicit trafficking in endangered animal species and in endangered plant species and varieties, - facilitation of unauthorised entry and residence, - murder, grievous bodily injury, - illicit trade in human organs and tissue, - kidnapping, illegal restraint and hostage-taking, - racism and xenophobia, - organised or armed robbery, - illicit trafficking in cultural goods, including antiques and works of art, - swindling, - racketeering and extortion, - counterfeiting and piracy of products, - forgery of administrative documents and trafficking therein, - forgery of means of payment, - illicit trafficking in hormonal substances and other growth promoters, - illicit trafficking in nuclear or radioactive materials, - trafficking in stolen vehicles, - rape, - arson, - crimes within the jurisdiction of the International Criminal Court, - unlawful seizure of aircraft/ships, - sabotage. http://eur-lex.europa.eu/legal-content/EN/TXT/?uri=celex%3A32002F0584

tirso
Interesting list. Not sure how they could use that against them. Beginning to think the laws are quite irrelevant here though. It's all politics. There are no real rules - they will do whatever is in the interests of the powerful party, I think. I cannot believe the others are in jail. The whole justiciary has jumped the shark.

Granny Danger
Rajoy goes to Barcelona, talks only to party faithful then pisses off home. All right wing European leaders must take the same approach. BTW I knew support for his party in Catalonia was not huge but didn't realise it was only 8.5% at the last election. Something wrong about this guy trying to dictate to an area where he has so little support.

Kejan
First poll of the campaign (think it began yesterday) has the pro-independence parties on about 48% of the vote - would give them a majority in the parliament. Although, there's only 1% between the main pro-indy party and the Spanish Citizens party (24 to 23%) http://www.elnacional.cat/ca/politica/enquesta-eleccions-catalunya-21d-1_218265_102.htm Edited December 6, 2017 by Kejan
