Worth saying Glasgow Uni use Airdrie for all matches, i.e. in the Caledonian Amateurs and associated cups. They couldn't be licensed otherwise - your licensed ground must be your permanent home, not just for Scottish Cup.

Any reason they went for Airdrie?  Could surely find a ground in the juniors that would meet the standard (like when BSC played at Maryhill).  Seems crazy to play their entire season in Airdrie although they obviously won't have any real support.

Yes. And (as with all clubs) they have to name one ground that will be used throughout, not pick and choose on a round-by-round basis.
When they were in it for the first time last season, Colville Park were offered several options by the SFA. Of those they chose Benburb Juniors' New Tinto Park. They have named the same venue as this season's Scottish Cup home.
Glasgow University have been using The Excelsior Stadium in Airdrie for all cup competitions for a while now. The last time they played a Scottish Cup tie at their Garscube complex (on just a roped-off pitch) was just before the rules were tightened up. Lost 1-9 vs Cove Rangers of the Highland League in the Preliminary Round on Saturday 16th August 2014. Just over a hundred of us at that one, knowing it would be the last Scottish Cup tie to be played there.

So a team from Motherwell/carfin are playing a home tie next to ibrox. Surely there is a suitable ground nearer to the home ground , That just puts me off going right there.

And choose your timing carefully for getting to New Tinto Park for the 3pm KO of Colville Park v Cumbernauld Colts - folks will be spilling out of Ibrox from just before 2pm onwards, after the High Noon KO of the OF derby that day...

Whose going to a game this weekend? What’s your feeling re your own teams chances?

I may try and get to the Spartans game on Friday night, which on current form Spartans should win.

Might get up to Selkirk to watch Gretna.

Fancy us, Gretna to win.

And to add Spartans looked good against us on Saturday.

Though we was robbed! !

Great gesture from the Scottish FA and William Hill providing a free bus for Whitehill fans to Nairn. Anyone can book on if you fancy a day out.

"Good" to know, no mention of it on BBC website as far as I can see.

BBC don't seem to have twigged that Spartans-Vale was tonight, or that BSCG-Dalbeattie is Sunday (2pm). Presumably after the draw someone fired in all 18 ties at Saturday 3pm then left it.

The BBC must have know it was tonight as they sent Brian McLaughlin along to report on it. Got a brief mention on BBC Radio Scotland after the Glasgow Warriors match.  Easy win in the end for Spartans although VOL had a couple of decent chances at 1-0, crowd was 192.

I assume you are referring to the web site. There were live updates from the game on Radio Scotland.

How many other first round games will get that?

Two early goals left Cumbernauld with an uphill struggle and it proved too much for them. (Note that contrary to some suggestions Colville are not the first amateurs to make R2 - even if you restrict "amateur" to SAFA clubs and "R2" to since the cup went all-in for 2007-08. Burntisland and Glasgow Uni did it 3 times between them).

That aside, a profitable afternoon for the southerly seniors... wins v HL opposition for CSS, Edinburgh Uni and LTHV; draws v HL opposition for Stirling Uni (home replay v Wick) and Edusport (away replay v Rothes) - moreso given the Frenchmen conceded 2 penalties and finished with 10-men; creditable losses v HL opposition for Gala, Hawick and Whitehill.

R2 draw:

Banks o'Dee v Selkirk
Peterhead v Colville Park
Civil Service Strollers v Brora Rangers
Edinburgh University v Fraserburgh
Deveronvale v Glenafton Athletic
Edinburgh City v Stenhousemuir
Keith v Clyde
Berwick Rangers v Annan Athletic
Spartans v Clachnacuddin
Stirling Albion v Lothian Thistle Hutchison Vale
Elgin City v Edusport Academy / Rothes
Nairn County v Cove Rangers
Cowdenbeath v East Kilbride
Montrose v Wick Academy / University of Stirling
Formartine United v East Stirlingshire
Buckie Thistle v BSC Glasgow / Dalbeattie Star
