HibeeJibee
Whitehill v EK was postponed yesterday and both Dalbeattie v Spartans and Selkirk v Vale tonight as was LTHV v Tynecastle and also LTHV v Burntisland on Monday. In SOSL tonight Heston lost at Lochar and effectively drop out of the race while Threave beat Stranraer SOS. Threave go 1pt clear with 1 game-in-hand on Mid Annandale - with Lochar hanging on 3pts back on Mids.
HibeeJibee
CSS, Edinburgh Uni, Edusport and Gala all helped themselves by collecting points today while Whitehill, Vale of Leithen and Dalbeattie lost. There's now a bit of a gap from those 3 to the rest. Kelty and LTHV both won in EOSL to keep up 100% records. Kelty have only 3 league games left (next Tuesday then the following 2 Saturdays), whereas LTHV play Mon-Wed, Mon-Wed and Wed in between to catch-up their 4 games-in-hand. In SOSL there were wins for Threave (at Bonnyton), Mid Annandale and Lochar, but Heston lost and are mathematically out of the race which Threave still leads by a solitary 1pt. HibeeJibee
Dalbeattie and Whitehill lost heavily tonight but Vale of Leithen drew. This means only 1 of these clubs can mathematically finish 15th - and the likes of Gala, Edinburgh Uni and Edusport will now breathe easy... It's now Whitehill 28pt (4 games left), Dalbeattie 26pt (2 left), Vale 24pt (3 left). Mid Annandale won 3-1 at Lochar to close within 1pt of Threave - but played 1 game more. HibeeJibee
That's why it's mathematically over for Gala etc. On paper Whitehill can each reach 40pt, Dalbeattie 32pt & Vale 33pt; but the most Dalbeattie and Vale can both reach (by drawing) would be 30pt & 31pt. HibeeJibee
During the week Kelty won at Tynecastle, while LTHV beat Eyemouth and Burntisland. LTHV beat Kelty today to close to 5pts behind them. LTHV play Tynecastle on Monday + Wednesday... 2pts or fewer and Kelty win league; 3pts or 4pts and LTHV need to win at Kelty on last day to win league; 6pts and Kelty need to beat them to win league. Threave played a Tweedie Cup SF during the week while the Annandale derby was postponed. Threave won at Nithsdale today to move 4pts clear and blow Lochar out of the race, while Mids didn't have a game. Threave can win the title on Monday by beating Mid Annandale at home then on Wednesday it's Threave v St Cuthbert and the Annandale derby at Moffat before the last day features Creetown v Mid Annandale and Threave v Heston. Vale of Leithen v Selkirk is also on Wednesday.

HibeeJibee
LTHV 2-0 TynecastleThreave Rovers 2-0 Mid Annandale Threave are SOSL champions. Congratulations to them. Hawick are definitely relegated. EOSL title goes to the end. If LTHV can win at Tynecastle on Wednesday, they'll have the advantage of Kelty on Saturday. Everyone loves a last-day decider. HibeeJibee
Hawick's season and with it their sojourn in Lowland football ended with a 3-1 defeat at Whitehill earlier. Ironically, or maybe it should be fittingly, their very last goal was scored by a triallist.
Display
Sad to see any team exit the leagues and I wish them well. Hope they bounce back in whatever direction the club decide to go in. Whitehill only had 10 men for 71 minutes of the game so fairly good going even against Hawick. I would imagine most teams just want the season over with unless otherwise in cups. HibeeJibee
Selkirk 1-1 Vale of Leithen Vale must now beat Cumbernauld next Wednesday to force a must-win last-day decider at Dalbeattie a week on Saturday, realistically, their GD being so inferior.Tynecastle 0-1 LTHV OG with 15mins left sees LTHV carry the advantage into Saturday's last-day decider. Kelty must win.
