It's a great fuss to have though. All those people who knew feck all about the EoSFL (there were loads) and said Kelty were in a joke league and would piss it are eating their words now.

Hopefully LTHV are well advanced wi their license. If not what happens. Is it Threave automatic promotion to LL and would that be another team (LTHV) in the ever growing EoSFL next season?

Best of luck to both teams on Saturday, whatever happens the fixture Secretary deserves a bit praise even though its all fell into place weather wise.

As far as I'm aware the cut off date for clubs to be licensed to be able to gain promotion to the LL was 31st March so even if LTHV have now attained the club licence it would appear as if it could be a hell of a league in the East next season as Threave would be promoted automatically.

No doubt though, there may be a loophole in there to allow LTHV a play off should they get a favourable result at Kelty on Saturday.

If LTHV won the league but were ineligible for promotion then Threave would be promoted automatically.

Hawick are relegated - and so would Vale of Leithen be (unless they can win their last 2 games and drop Dalbeattie into 15th) if Cove reached SPFL2. It's Dalbeattie v Vale on the last day.

So in that scenario - or if Kelty won the league but lost playoff to Threave - there'd be a net gain of 1 or 2 clubs to EOSL. With the current 13 and reports of 14/15 joining that'd make 28-30.

Can someone clarify, where does the 31st March date come from? No mention of the date in the Lowland League rules - it just says a play-off match between EoS and SoS will take play if both clubs meet the required criteria (presumably the licence).

Would you believe I can't find it in writing either but I was given that information by someone connected with the South league.

The fact that Kelty are at risk of not winning the league still doesn't prove it isn't a 'joke' league. Kelty and LTHV have pumped the vast majority of the sides in it as was predicted.

As it happens, one team have their number. The league has been a joke in the sense of the competition. Two teams are significantly stronger - that will certainly be different next season with better sides getting involved.

I was just pointing out that many were ignorant to the fact that LTHV had a no too bad side and nearly all the ignorance pointed to the thought that Kelty would piss the league. Were you one of them ;)

Leith and Tynecastle are nae mugs either by the way and yes the league is getting stronger and stronger which can only be good for the game. :)

Yeah will be a massive loss.

Surprised he's not went 'higher' before now always had that bit about him. Wonder if swanny will stay he was their top goalscorer if he was half a foot taller he'd certainly no be playing for Lothian.

Was surprised Swanny did not sign for Kelty when he played a couple of preseason games for them last year. Good player, if a bit lively on twitter lol

He's a shoe in to get a caution in a game, cracking laddie and again has played pro-youth and could have made it but for whatever circumstance he never went further I don't know personally.
