Erm, you can't have more babies in quick succession unless......

Edit - just realised my quick wit is in response to a 5 month old post.

To be fair there were 10 then 12 months between child 1 to 2 then 2 to 3, all to the same woman. Not a Leigh Griffiths style 3 dirties all pregnant to the mad wee shagger at the same time type scenario.

I’m 25 and enjoy my job but the hours aren’t enough. Live with my father but he’s just got married again and will probably move abroad with her so I’ll likely move back into my mums as there’s no way I can afford the place on my own. University is an option which I’m considering, I have an SVQ 3 that my work put me through so I’ll see what happens.

I’d be open to living abroad but Christ knows what I’d do for work and teaching English for a pittance doesn’t particularly sound great. I’ve also no savings whatsoever.

I done shite at school because i was a wee c**t so having to look at alternative methods of getting into University to study the course that interests me. Has anyone else been working full time, then chucked it for part-time and Education? If so, how did you find it?

You can do an access course for most undergraduate courses in Scotland, they are part-time evening classes and they help you with getting back into the swing of studying. Universities leave places open on courses for folk doing an access course.

Cheers! I'm in the process of completing my application for the access course, so fingers crossed.

MMA fighter Donald Ceronne's post-fight interview from the weekend.

Really resonates. I had a similar experience that spontaneously kicked in once my first kid arrived, some very visceral programming that goes to the very fibre of your being.

Seems obvious in retrospect - trauma caused by questions of existence, death, and meaning has some direct relationship with (not yet) extending your genetic existence via kids.

For hundreds of millions of years for every species, reproduction is the goal of existence. Not surprising that malaise from failure to do so might be a consequence.

Have babies.

I don't have any sound on my work pc but that looks to be a modern update of this:

He wants to wear tight pants, grow a beard, wear a cowboy hat and grapple with oily men. And why not? We only live once.

I’ve long enjoyed the pleasure of being rough around the ring with other guys (and the occasional girl).

Hmm, capes, shoes, beaten about the ring.. it all falls into place.....:P

Have you experienced this sort of late-20's existential crisis?

You realise that your job/career isn't what you want to do so you pack it in. You're not married. You have no children. Everyone you grew up with has bought houses, cars, is married, has children etc and you still live in your maws house getting your ironing done for you. You have no idea what you want to do career wise.

No? Just me then.

don't know youre living

try the same thing in your forties
