Lanark 2 Forth 2
A game we threw away against a team who by all accounts have had an excellent pre season.
Deservedly 2 up on 35 minutes but Forth pulled one back just before ht with an excellent goal by Willie McLaren from nothing.
A deserved straight red for our guests on 76 minutes but they still equalised with 3 minutes left.   McLaren swung in a free kick way from out on the right, bounced through a crowd of players into the net.
We missed a one on one with the keeper, an indirect free kick just outside the 6 yard box plus another excellent chance, all in the 2nd half.
We have very meagre resources. The legend that is Shug departs for Ireland this week. Our young squad will miss his battling qualities.

Completely missed that. Need to watch the highlights later on.

You're the 2nd Vale fan I've heard say they didn't know McArdle had been sent off. Vale were playing 11v10 for a large chunk of the second half.

I should say we played the first 8 minutes with 10 men as our striker was late!

Blackburn United 4 Downfield 1

Down 0-1 at HT, Burnie powered past Downfield in the second with two from Johm Drummond and one each for Andy McQuillan and Darren Fleming, the last two coming in injury time.

Think it was 20 mins to go with score at 2 nil to vale so didn't have any reflection of the score

You can never say that for sure, because 10-man Glencairn then scored v 11-man Vale. Had we kept 11 on the park we might have equalised. But we didn't, so we'll never know.

Lochore 2 Dundee North End 1. Played roughly 80 minutes with 10 men and went 1-0 down from the resulting penalty. Got back into the game from a James Adam penalty midway through the second half then took the lead through a well taken header from Kearyn Hicks with just a minute or 2 to go. Absolutely deserved the win through sheer workrate and desire but also outplayed North End for the majority of the game. Early days but good positive start from the Welfare.
