Based on what a few friends who are players parents and committee members have said the clubs is struggling big time.

The club is £37k in debt which does not include approximately £7k owed to players and management for the season, outstanding debtors are East Lothian council who are due £12k supposedly for hire of facilities over the last few years, outstanding fines from the tax man for previous other financial matters.

i heard the committee and the management team offered to buy the club to take on the burden but Charlie refused!

Calvin and the players left due to not being paid for months which based on season gone by this is not unusual. Whoever takes the role on should expect no money... that’s if the club still exists!!

Another Ballingry, now we know why they were keen to join the GBL EOS league, they'll be desperate for the handouts.

How can Charlie refuse...he doesn’t own the club. No one does. Surely all it would take is a vote of no confidence to oust him and the new committee could take over. Although not sure why they would want to be burdened by the debt.

If it is a club, rather than a Ltd Co then the debt likely rests with the committee members who were in place when it was incurred, so if a new committee took over they wouldn't necessarily be obligated to pay.

Just tell him to GTF - End of conversation.

Then he can write a book on all the people he has shafted over the years and that can be his pension !

Like someone else said - he doesnt own the club !! and the club will flouirsh without him.

Doubt the landlord will see it that way.
