Not been around for a while but I recall VOL beat Eyemouth United 16 - 0  in October 1976 at Victoria Park.John Burns scored 5,Billy Crookston 3,Paddy McGovern 3,Eric Miller 1 & Jimmy Sivewright 1. I actually played in the game but had already scored my goal for the season !Great wins for LTHV & Spartans yesterday - hope they both do well in the next round. Also happy to see the Vale pick up 3 points at Gala.

Was that Gordon Miller's brother if so I can remember him from when his son Paul played for Cowden.

 sorry HtB - if I didn't update it near the time I might forget. At least that's you done with Kelty (though a trip to LTHV next month)...

You should have stuck to Coldstream - 11 goals at their game on Saturday, but at least 8 were for the home team ;)!

Oh dear ...

... #44 arrives in the unexpected form of Burntisland Shipyard 10-3 Eyemouth United in the harbour derby. It's going to be a long drive, or sail, home for the Fishermen .

Appreciate they were depleted...

That said before kick-off, both having played over half their league season, they were only separated by GD. For one to put 10 goals past the other and win by 7 is remarkable.

Crawford still managed a hat-trick . Extraordinary.

Eyemouth actually won the reverse game in November .

must be a pisser when you score a hat-trick in a game but your team has been shellacked.

Only 4 players that played in the reverse fixture on the 4th November played yesterday and 2 of them were out of position. Payback for shippy, as I was at a game last season or season before that the Gulls put 10 past shippy as they turned up with 9 players, apparently a few refused to travel as the bus wouldn’t stop on the way down to put their bets on. Credit to them though, they came down and fulfilled the fixture that day

Burntisland have a completely different team. In Sean Johnstone, lee halpin and john Martin they have a strike force to put fear in teams. If they keep a clean sheet in any games, they will Score.

Shippy’s turnaround was evident in November when I seen them, beat 3 2 but imo more than edged the game
