Hopefully they will have a couple of new players available before the opening League game of the season against Peterhead. Looks like Peterhead will be one of the favourites to win the League having spent a bit of money recruiting new players. I believe McAllister is suspended for this game. doulikefish Posted August 5, 2017 Share Posted August 5, 2017 We started the game better but Annan came into the game and where the better team for the rest of the first half and a few good saves kept the score at 0-0 before Annans goal and ht couldnt come quick enough for us.Second half was all us but we never created anything until Mcrackens scrambled goal after a stramash in the box.But what a strike from ted stevenson to win the game,that goal alone was worthy of the entrance price Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

However, division two is a strange league , every team has a wee flat period and history tells us that the initial front runners can sometimes come adrift. Annan did ok and probably merited something from the game . Once Annan find that required work ethic and inner belief they will then take some chewing . The referee was shite - deceived by all the Peterhead pros which cost us in the end. Our squad is threadbare just now but full faith in Peter Murphy - I'm sure there will be at least 2 or 3 new signings before the cut off. annanbear Posted August 6, 2017 Share Posted August 6, 2017 Peterhead probably deserved the 3 points yesterday.we looked decent in spells in the first half but done zero in the 2nd half.a lack of midfielders and attackers in the team could really cost us if the problem isnt sorted sooner rather than later.the ref had a shocker,the wind would have knocked peterheads players over yesterday and the ref fell for it everytime.roll on annan B next week.
