Bankies 1 Hamilton U20s 0

Good game at Holm Park tonight. Accies the better side first half hour with their trialist striker causing Bankies problems and hitting the post early on. Bankies came back into it and took the lead about 10 mins before HT when Alan Frizzell side footed home a cracking cutback from one of our trialists.

Accies had a chance to equalise on the hour through what looked a fairly soft penalty but Bankies keeper Scott Morrison pulled off a fantastic save - one of several over the 90 mins - from the trialist strikers effort. Bankies missed a few chances to extend their lead and Accies missed a couple of further chances to equalise but Bankies held on for a narrow but probably over the piece deserved win.

Some excellent performances throughout the Bankies team tonight with Scott Morrison , Callum Gow , Jamie Darroch and Ryan Deas particularly impressive.

Well done Bankies!

Cumbernauld must now be relegation favourites?

Considering there's no relegation this season that won't happen, it was a friendly game nothing more, so I wouldn't read too much into the last two games.

No AUTOMATIC relegation but there will be 2 relegation play-off spots.

Agree nothing should be read into friendly results though.

Had heard they spent a bit of money this window and got some good players in. Also told they gave pollok a hard game Saturday

Watched Cumbernauld at Pollok, they are an Ok side only problem I see if their center of defence, not much mobility with the big two but in the air they will have most under control.
friendlies count for nothing for most, its all about ironing out systems and getting match fit, sometimes they are a wee boost but once all teams have everyone back and playing competitive matches then its all different.
